Growing up between New York City, the Hamptons and the Bahamas, I experienced the juxtaposition of bustling cityscapes and lush natural settings. These lively surroundings became my first great inspiration, as I developed an appreciation for how the world aligned itself to create joyful chaos and serene order. 

Just as mother nature inspired me, my own mother stoked my creativity. An interior designer and bonafide style icon, my mother encouraged my artistic pursuits, building my creative confidence as I played with paints, seashells, fabrics and anything else I could get my hands on. 

I continued my artistic evolution at Parsons before venturing to Paris where I learned the magic of trompe-l’eoil. As I worked with clients creating dynamic murals,  paintings, fabrics, and wallpapers, I often took notes from my mother's playful approach to creation and the vibrant organic backdrop of my childhood. It turns out, the artwork inspired by my own upbringing resonated with others as demand for my designs soared through word of mouth and client referrals.

A featured cover story in Elle Decor marked the true launch of my career, followed by features in other prominent publications from Architectural Digest and Vogue to Veranda. I’ve been privileged to work with recognizable clients, like Sarah Jessica Parker, Courtney Cox, and Diane von Furstenburg. In 2008 I proudly published my first book, LULU, a visual autobiography lovingly crafted by hand.
